5 Masala From Kitchen To Add To your Uptan

Flaunting fresh, glowy and supple skin is an absolute must, festivities or not. No, you do not need very expensive cosmetic products each time; we Indians have been curating natural and organic beauty tips for thousands of years now. There are several ingredients in our kitchen, that are actually beneficial to our skin and hair. Especially during festive season, we suggests you add these 5 kitchen ingredients to your uptan.

* Besan

It is no secret that besan has been an essential part of the Indian woman’s skincare regime since time immemorial! The popular kitchen ingredient is known to work wonders both on the face as well as the body. It is said to be one of the best natural cleansers, is a gentle exfoliator, works as a tan-remover and also helps fight acne.

* Turmeric Powder

Turmeric has amazing medicinal properties. It also has excellent antibacterial and antiseptic properties, which helps to clean acne and acne marks, soothes inflammation, etc. To achieve an instant glow on your skin, you can simply make a paste of turmeric and water, apply and keep it on your face for 8 to 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. For a super mask, add milk (instead of water) and honey to it. This works like magic!

* Coffee Powder

Not many know that using coffee to benefit our skin is also a beauty ritual that has been practised since centuries now. Coarse coffee powder, something like filter coffee powder, is a very good natural exfoliator. It also fights free radicals, is a good tan remover, protects our skin from UV rays and repairs under-eye skin. Coffee powder (coarse), when used in/as body scrub, helps reduce cellulite issues too.

* Honey

Honey is an excellent antibacterial cleanser and a very effective tan-remover. Not just this, honey is also an excellent moisturiser – something that elderly ladies have always been vouching for. Honey guarantees natural glow and moisturises our skin effectively. During winters, you can apply a thin layer of honey on your face every day for an effective moisturising purpose.

* Milk

Milk is naturally rich in AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) — a compound found in expensive beauty products. It softens the dead and dry skin cells on our skin, which makes it easy the exfoliators to scrub them off. During winter, if your skin is dry, you can use fresh cream instead of just milk.
