Steps To Do Perfect Manicure at Home

As much as you care about your face, you will never take care of your hands and feet. Due to the effects of pollution, dust, dirt, sun rays, the layer starts to settle on the hands and feet and the color of your hands and feet becomes completely different from the face. With Manicure Manicure, your hands can look beautiful, delicate and youthful. Beautiful hands add to your beauty. Nail polish, rings, bangles and wristwatches enhance the look of handsome hands.

Manicures are a way of caring for hands and making them beautiful. Instead of going to the parlor for this, you can easily do manicure at home. Your precious time and money will also be saved and it will also remain hygenic. Learn how to do manicure at home.

Cut

To start, wash your hands with a medicated soap and then, remove old nail paint with a good quality nail paint remover and a soft cotton ball. Next, cut your nails fingernails straight across to reduce the length; clip the corners into your preferred nail shape. You could either go traditional with a rounded or square shape, or experiment with trending nail shapes like an almond, lipstick or ballerina.

Soak

After polish is removed, place a little warm whole milk into two small bowls and soak the tips of your fingers for five to 10 minutes. This helps moisturize and soften nails and cuticles, making them easier to clip and gently push back, respectively. If you don’t have milk, you can use warm water mixed with a gentle soap and a dash of oil, which boosts the moisturizing power of the soak. When you’re finished, dry your hands and nails thoroughly using a clean towel.

Push cuticles back

Using an angled cuticle stick, gently push cuticles toward the base of the nail. If your cuticles are in pretty nice shape, feel free to skip this step. Whenever I mess with my cuticles it often leads to more problems down the line, so I avoid pushing them back unless they’re extremely overgrown.

Buff

Using your buffing block or disc, gently rub each nail until you see a slight shine. This step—often left out of professional manicures—is an excellent way to help your nails shine just as much as if you had polished them. Bonus: Buffing also boosts circulation to the nail bed, giving slow-to-grow or weak nails the shot of fresh, oxygenated blood they need to get stronger and grow faster.

Scrub

Although there are many homemade manicure scrubs out there, this simple lemon, sugar and olive oil scrub is suitable for all skin types. Mix two teaspoons of sugar, half a teaspoon of olive oil, and a teaspoonful of lemon juice in a small bowl. The heat from your palms will melt the sugar crystals, which in turn will gently exfoliate away dead skin cells. The olive oil helps to seal in the moisture into your hands.Be sure to scrub for 2 minutes before rinsing your hands in lukewarm water. Pat them dry on a soft towel.

Moisturize and Massage

Finally, take some time to moisturize your hands and nails with a good-quality hand cream. We recommend Deborah Lippmann’s Rich Girl Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Hand Cream. Squeeze out a bit more lotion than you’d typically use and give your hands, fingers and forearms a good self-massage. Not only will this help hydrate your skin and nails, but it allows for a relaxing moment when you can be present and feel grateful that you took the time to take care of yourself.
