Ananya Pandey To Make Her Bollywood Debut With Ranveer Singh

Chunky Pandey’s daughter is all set for her grand launch in the second instalment of Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film that launched Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in Bollywood. A while ago, Dharma Productions had announced, “Finally joining the brat pack, presenting – ANANYA! Welcome to the movies & the class of 2018! #SOTY2.”

Student of the Year 2 was initially going to release in November this year. However, the film’s release date has been pushed to May next year. “There is a NEW DATE for #SOTY2!!!! The admissions are now in summer 2019!!! Karan had tweeted.

As this was to be a debut film for Ananya alongside Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff, she will not be launched by the film anymore. It is Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy that will have the newbie doing a cameo in the Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer. In this flick, Ranveer Singh essays the role of a rapper and the reel is to hit the screens on February 14, 2019, which is before SOTY 2.

SOTY 2 is being directed by Punit Malhotra and is currently being shot in Dehradun.
