Hiten Tejwani is an Indian television actor, was born 5 March 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, who is best known for his roles in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kutumb and currently playing the role of Manav Damoder Deshmukh in popular Indian Opera Soap serial Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV.

The senior actor debuted on Television 17 years ago with Ghar Ek Mandir. Post that he went on work in many serials like Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli, Kahin Kissii Roz , Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat but it’s his character portrayals in Kutumb and Kyon Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi that made him a household name. He played the lead character – Pratham Mittal while Gauri Pradhan played the female lead character by the name Gauri Agarwal. The story is about a couple who initially hates each other but goes on to spend their lives together.

They go through many struggles but come out triumphant owing to their family’s love and support. As a pair they became hugely popular owing to their crackling chemistry. Interestingly, Hiten went on marry his co-star for real in 2004. They have two children together – Neevan and Katya. Their respective roles in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi garnered them further fame. His other serials include – Kkavyanjali, Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai, Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Pavitra Rishta, Gangaa, Balika Vadhu.

In an interview with Times Of India, he revealed that he has taken up this reality show to test himself – “When Bigg Boss came my way I thought I should give it a try and that’s the reason I took up the show,” states the actor.“I am not going with any plan. I will be just myself. People have loved me as various characters, but now they will get to see how Hiten Tejwani is in real life. I am just going to be myself,” states the actor further. Also it was his wife who encouraged him to take up the show.
