Kavi Kumar Azad, who essayed the role of Dr Hansraj Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has died after a prolonged illness. He was among the favourite actors liked by millions of television buffs all across the nation.

According to the initial report, the much loved actor was unwell for last three days and slipped into a coma last night, doctors said. He was admitted in Wokhardt Hospital at Mira Road in Mumbai and was under doctor’s supervision. He breathed his last an hour ago.

The shoot of the show at Film City has been cancelled after the team learnt of this shocking news. Entire crew is in shock and most of theme have rushed to the hospital. May his soul rest in peace.
