RIP Rishi Kapoor- 5 Songs of Rishi Kapoor That Will Never Get Old

Veteran actor Risshi Kapoor passed away on Wednesday at Mumbai's Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital. He was 67 years old. His brother Randhitr Kapoor confirmed the shocking news.

Rishi had been admitted to hospital after suffering breathing problem on Wednesday. Randhir had yesterday said that he was in the hospital and wife and yesteryear actress Neetu was by his side. He had, however, refuted reports of the veteran actor being put on ventilator. We bring you a list of evergreen numbers starring the eternal romantic Rishi Kapoor.

* Hum tum ek kamre mein band ho

Hormones are bound to rage when two teens, deeply attracted towards each other, find themselves alone in the house. The song captured the teen spirit superbly. The underlying sexuality of the song gets to you even after all those years.

* O hansini

The film was based on Vishnuvardhan starrer hit Kannada movie Naagarahaavu. The movie may have been forgotten but this romantic number, shot on Rishi Kapoor and Moushumi Chatterjee remains one of the most romantic songs ever of Rishi Kapoor. It was reportedly shot at Chitradurga Fort in Karnataka.

* Tumko mere dil ne

That’s the film which brought out the drag act in our films with panache. It had many melodious songs but this, which is laced with a tinge of agony, stands out. Shot on Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor in verdant locales, it has retained its freshness over time.

* Ek main aur ek tu

A good plot, good performances and great music – this murder mystery romance had all the ingredients designed to give you an edge of the seat experience. The song involves young collegians Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh meeting in alone in the forest and giving way to their passion. It contains a certain innocence despite the raging chemistry.

* Khullam khulla pyar karenge hum dono

Couples making out in the open while drunk! Khel Khel Mein was really way ahead of its time. It’s one of the most drunken declarations of love and one of the funniest too.
