* Galle & Unawatuna

Galle is a major city situated on the south-western tip of Sri Lanka and is the administrative capital of Southern Province. Also known as Gimhathiththa, the city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. A living heritage site, this 90 hectare attraction is a superb blend of architecture, with fortifications that resemble those in the coastal areas of Portugal. Nuwara Eliya, meaning ‘city on the plain or city of light’, is a town in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. At an altitude of 1868 meters, the 19th century colonial hill station of Nuwara Eliya is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka and is known for its picturesque landscape and temperate climate.Nuwara Eliya is known as ‘Little England’ because the town has been designed and built like a typical English village. Ella is a small hill town in the Badulla district of Uva Province in Sri Lanka. Nestled in a valley at about 1000 m elevation, Ella is surrounded by even higher mountains. * Dambulla Cave temple

Situated 72 km north of Kandy, Dambulla is a large city situated in the Matale district, Central Province of Sri Lanka. The town is said to be built in just 167 days. Dambulla is famous for Dambulla cave temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. This World Heritage Site is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves built at the base of a 150 m high rock. These caves contain statues and paintings that are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses. The cave walls and ceilings are covered with paintings and patterns, totalling 2,000 square meters of gorgeous mural. Ironwood forest, Rose Quartz Mountain, and Rangiri Stadium are the other popular attractions in Dambulla.
