- Even if you are about to leave for trekking a few months later. But before that it is very important to be physically fit. Therefore, research the place to go for trekking first and know what difficulties you may face there. Prepare yourself accordingly.

- It is better to go with the guide on trekking, especially when you are going for the first time. Follow the path the guide suggests to go. By not doing this you can get into trouble. So do not ignore the guide's words at all.

- Do not wear slippers or any shoes for trekking. Sometimes the path can be stony and bumpy. Therefore, keep trekking only by wearing good quality shoes which are strong and have good grip.

- Do not make any hurry while climbing the mountain, because trekking is not a competition. If you walk at a slower speed, you will feel less tired. Do not rush to reach destination. Take your journey enjoying nature.

- Carry at least as much luggage as you go on trekking. You can always carry it with you and will not feel tired. But do not forget to keep a medical kit with you as it may be needed at any time. Also, keep the items that are very important.

- Whatever shoes you buy for trekking, practice walking in them in advance, so that they do not bite if you wear them further.

Start by deciding how much time you want to spend in the outdoors. Perhaps you want to start with going out just for a day, walking leisurely through fields and forests, up to a hill fort or ancient rock-cut caves.

- Research the area, the route, and local weather conditions. Check if there are cultural events or festivals that will make your trip more enjoyable.

- The best way to prepare for a really long walk? Do some really long walks. You should start with small-ish distances and work up to the length you’ll be trekking on your trip. When you start your training, leave a day in between each walk to let your body recover.

- As well as doing long walks, you should also work some leg-based cardio into your daily routine. Cycling is awesome for building up muscle in your legs, but soccer, football, squash and swimming are all great too.

- During trekking, While making a fire, make sure you do so responsibly, obeying local laws and rules. Use only dead wood. Do not harm wildlife or the forest. Leave plants and trees as you find them

- What you pack depends a lot on how long you’re heading out, the weather, and your comfort with being minimalistic for that time. Everything you’re taking should fit into a single backpack of about 30-40 litres for 2-4 days, or 50-70 litres for more than 5 days. After each trip, you’ll learn more about what you actually don’t need.

- In a Ziploc bag, keep dry fruits, chocolates, nuts, granola bars, rehydration salts, instant soups/beverages, sweets/toffees that will be useful in emergencies. You can keep another bag of similar stuff for snacking on the trail.
