Holi 2019- IRCTC Announces Special Trains Ahead Holi Festival

The Indian railways has come up with a gift for passengers travelling during Holi - IRCTC Holi special trains. The passengers planning to visit their hometowns to celebrate Holi with their friends and families, or take a break during the festival offs can avail these special trains and enjoy a hassle-free commute. Holi falls on March 21 and special trains have begun. To clear extra rush of passengers, the northern Railways, an arm of Indian railways, has tweeted a list of Holi special trains.

Holi special trains will run on Chandigarh-Gorakhpur, New Delhi-Barauni, Lucknow-Kolkata, Katihar-Firozpur and Anand Vihar to Kamakhya among other routes. The tickets can be booked online from irctc.co.in

List of Holi Special Trains:

From Anand Vihar to Patna Holi special train:

Anand Vihar-Patna train will start from March 16 to March 23. This special train will depart from Anand Vihar Railway Station every Saturday at 12 AM and will reach Patna station the next day at 6 PM. It will leave from Patna at 7:35 pm and will reach Anand Vihar Railway Station at 2:20 PM.

From Hazrat Nizamuddin station to Pune Junction Holi special train:

Hazrat Nizamuddin-Pune Holi special train has started from March 12 and will run till March 26. The train will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin every Tuesday at 9:35 PM and will reach Pune the next day at 9:25 PM. It will depart from Pune at 5:15 PM every Thursday and reach Nizamuddin, the next day at 5:35 AM. The train will run from March 14 to March 28.

From Lucknow to Kolkata Holi special train:

Lucknow-Kolkata Holi special train has started from March 11 and will run till March 25. It will leave from Lucknow station every Monday at 11:45 PM and will reach Kolkata the next day - from March 12 to March 26 - at 10:15 PM. It will depart from Kolkata every Tuesday at 11:55 PM and reach Lucknow at 9.45 PM.

From New Delhi to Barauni:

New delhi-Barauni Holi special train has started from March 12 to March 22. This will leave from New Delhi Railway station every Tuesday and Friday at 7:25 PM. It will reach to Barauni Junction on the next day i.e. March 13 to March 23 at 7:45 PM. From Barauni, the train will leave only on Wednesday and Saturday at 9:35 PM. It will reach New Delhi station on the next evening at 10:10 PM.

From Anand Vihar to Kamakhya Holi special train:

Anand Vihar-Kamakhya Holi special train has started from March 13 to March 20. It will leave from Anand Vihar Railway Station every Wednesday at 11:45 PM and will reach Kamakhya station the next afternoon -. from March 16 to March 23 at 2:45 PM. It will leave from Kamakhya at 5:35 AM every Saturday and will reach Anand Vihar at 6:15 PM the next day.

From Chandigarh to Gorakhpur Holi special train:

The Holi special train from Chandigarh to Gorakhpur will start from March 14 to March 21. It will leave from Chandigarh station every Thursday at 11.15 PM and will reach Gorakhpur Junction the next day - from March 15 to March 22. This train will leave from Gorakhpur Junction at 10.10 PM and will reach Chandigarh station at 5.30 PM.

From Firozpur Cantt to Katihar junction Holi special train:

This Firozpur Cantt-Kathiar Holi special train will run from March 16 to March 23. It will leave from Firozpur Cantt every Saturday and reach Katihar Junction the next day - from March 17 to March 24 at 10.40 AM. It will leave from Katihar Junction every Sunday at 11 PM and reach Firozpur Cantt at 7 PM.
