Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj Passes Away At 90

Pandit Jasraj, an Indian classical vocalist, belonging to the Mewati Gharana passed away in New Jersey, US on Monday, his daughter Durga Jasraj confirmed. He was 90.

He celebrated his 90th birthday in January.

Pandit's musical career spanned more than 80 years and has been conferred with Padma Shri (1975), Sangeet Natak Akademi Award (1987), Padma Bhushan (1990) and Padma Vibhushan (2000) among others.
