Chaitra Navratri Festival 2018- 9 Mantra For 9 Days of Navratri

Navratri is a nine days festive season and one of the most famous festivals in India. During Navratri festival people worship goddess Durga till nine sacred days and in the nine forms of Maa Shakti. Each day is devoted to a specific goddess who is worshipped on a pious day. At this auspicious time, all type of worship and siddhis are performed during these nine days of Navratri. Devotees light the ‘akhand jyot’ (diya that burns for nine days) during the navratri time. Navratri puja is performed with great devotion, fervor and immense zeal in every nook and corner of India by the devotees.

Navratri festival is divided into the three sets. On the first three days goddess Durga “the warrior Godess” is worshipped. On the next three days Goddess Lakshmi “the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity” and at the end of three days Goddess Saraswati “the Goddess of Knowledge” are worshipped during navratri. By worshipping Goddess Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati, devotees invoke all the other forms of Maa Shakti during puja time.

सुरासम्पूर्णकलशं रुधिराप्लुतमेव च। दधाना हस्तपद्माभ्यां कूष्माण्डा शुभदास्तु मे॥

सिंहासनगता नित्यं पद्माश्रितकरद्वया। शुभदास्तु सदा देवी स्कन्दमाता यशस्विनी॥

चंद्र हासोज्ज वलकरा शार्दू लवर वाहना| कात्यायनी शुभं दद्या देवी दानव घातिनि||

एकवेणी जपाकर्णपूरा नग्ना खरास्थिता, लम्बोष्टी कर्णिकाकर्णी तैलाभ्यक्तशरीरिणी।
वामपादोल्लसल्लोहलताकण्टकभूषणा, वर्धनमूर्धध्वजा कृष्णा कालरात्रिर्भयङ्करी॥
