5 DIY Face Toner to Get Glowing Skin Naturally

After washing your face, use a toner to remove leftover dirt and makeup. It’s a good way to keep your skin nice and clean! But store-bought toners are pricey and full of chemicals. Here are 5 natural face toners that you can use instead.

# Apple Cider Vinegar

As an antibacterial, apple cider vinegar is excellent for the normal and oily skin. It can even restore your skin’s pH, especially if it’s “that time of the month.” But since apple cider vinegar is very strong, be sure to mix it with water. A 1:1 ratio will do the trick.

# Green Tea

Green tea can make skin feel like silk. To make it, simply brew 1 cup of green tea. Once it has cooled down, it’s ready to use. For extra antibacterial properties, add 10 drops of tea tree or lavender oils.

# Lemon Juice

Lemon juice can brighten dark spots and remove excess oil. Simply add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to 1 cup witch hazel or filtered water. After applying it, avoid the sun for a few hours. Avoid applying it on pimples, it might burn!

# Rose Water

This light and fragrant toner is amazing for all skin types. It can even double as a perfume! To make it, add ½ cup rose petals to 2 cups filtered water. Both fresh and dried rose petals can work. For an even lovelier scent, add 10 drops of rose essential oil.

# Chamomile

Chamomile is extremely soothing, making it ideal for extreme skin conditions. It can ease the pain from dry skin that has become patchy and flaky. But it can help relax acne, too. To make a chamomile toner, soak ½ cup dried chamomile in 2 cups witch hazel or filtered water. You can also use chamomile tea.
