5 Tips To Keep Skin Healthy During Winters

We all love winters, don’t we? But let’s face it, it is the worst weather for our skin. It takes away the lustre of the skin and makes it dry. Now, no need to worry anymore. Without immediate care, dry skin can lead to cracking and bleeding, and harsh winter wind makes the problem worse. Here are few tips that might come handy in the winter season to maintain your beautiful skin.

* Warm water bath

Never have a bath with very hot water during winter, however, tempted you may be as it further dries the skin. Instead use lukewarm water, along with a mild soap or a PH balanced body wash and cleanser. Start early so that your body gets accustomed to it before winter begins.

* Diet

Eating and exercising right for your skin this winter. Include lots of juices, fruits & dry fruits in your diet and drink at least 8 glasses of water. Find a form of exercise that you enjoy, get enough rest, stay positive, use the right makeup products and don’t skip the cleansing-toning-moisturizing ritual before going to bed.

* Drink Water

We tend to drink less water in the winter because we turn to hot drinks like cocoa and tea, but don’t forget that your skin needs hydration from the inside, out. A little warm water with lemon can be very refreshing and hydrating at the same time.

* Moisturize

Moisturising is not just essential for very dry and flaky skin, but regular skin type must indulge in this routine too. If you are not for chemical-laden products, then you could go for any of the natural moisturizers— almond oil or extra virgin olive oil. Alternatively, you can mix the oil with your normal cold cream or lotion too. Gently massage this into your skin till it absorbs and leaves it on.

* Exfoliate
