Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan Tickets To Be Available At ₹99 On National Cinema Day

Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi's blockbuster movie Jawan is set to dominate on National Cinema Day, which falls on October 13 (Friday). The tickets for the film will be available at a special rate of Rs 99, but this offer is applicable only for 2D, 3D, and IMAX screenings. The 4DX tickets are also being offered at discounted rates, although not at Rs 99.

With the low ticket prices nationwide, Jawan is expected to attract a large audience. The film has already sold approximately 1 lakh tickets, prompting cinema chains to increase the number of shows. Exhibitors have also boosted the screening schedules in anticipation of a substantial turnout for Jawan.

Additionally, tickets for other films like Mission Raniganj, Thank You For Coming, and Dono will also be available at the Rs 99 price point.

According to various media reports, Jawan, which premiered in theaters on September 7, is slated for a Netflix release in the first week of November. The streaming platform acquired the movie's rights for a significant sum of Rs 250 crore. Interestingly, it has been reported that the OTT version of Jawan will feature scenes that were not included in the theatrical release.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan follows the story of Azad Rathore (portrayed by Shah Rukh), a jailer who transforms into a vigilante. He assembles a team of six women to combat corruption and address socio-political issues. Simultaneously, he embarks on a mission to find his presumed-dead father and portrays a dual role, encompassing both his character and his father, Vikram Rathore. Nayanthara plays the role of a police officer assigned to apprehend this vigilante, while Vijay Sethupathi portrays the ruthless antagonist. Deepika Padukone takes on the roles of both Shah Rukh's mother and wife.

The cast of Jawan also includes Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Sunil Grover, among others. The film is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma.
