Recipe- Mouthwatering Eggless Whole Wheat Ghee Cookies

Give these yummy whole wheat ghee cookies a try this festive time! These Indian cookies are egg-free and require only 4 ingredients. At our home, these ghee cookies were a staple. Mom used to pick them up from the nearby bakery while getting our weekly groceries. She chose these cookies because they were made without eggs. It was the best treat for us; those Indian butter biscuits were so soft and melted in our mouths!

Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup vegan ghee melted
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt


Method


* In a mixing bowl, add ghee and castor sugar.

* Whisk till the sugar is dissolved.

* Sieve whole wheat flour and add to the bowl.

* Then add vanilla extract and salt.

* Mix everything together and form a soft dough.

* Using a measuring spoon (tablespoon) or a small cookie scooper, divide into equal balls and place them on the baking tray that is lined with parchment paper.

* Continue the same process for the remaining dough. There is no need to flatten the balls. Keep some distance between each ball.

* Preheat the oven at 360 degrees F. Bake these cookies for about 20-25 mins or until the base of the cookies turn brown.
