Recipe- Rajasthan's Special Tikkad at Home

A traditional favourite in the state of Rajasthan, “Aloo pyaaz sabzi with tikkad” is a combination of potatoes and onions with tava roasted rotis – a preparation that is popular during weddings and feasts.

Ingredients

2 cup Barely flour
1 cup Chopped spinach
1 cup Chopped fenugreek leaves
1/2 cup coriander leaves chopped
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp roasted cumin seed powder
1/2 tsp coriander seeds half crushed
1/4 tsp Hing or asafoetida
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
to taste Salt

Method

* Add all ingredients in a bowl.

* Add water accordingly becoj we have added spinach, fenugreek and coriander leaves also.

* Knead a soft dough.

* Keep it aside for 5-10minute.

* Till then Heat tandoor for 5-7 minute with medium to low flame.

* Now apply some oil or ghee in your palm.

* Take a part of dough.add some wheat flour to it.

* Roll it with your hands like we roll bajra or maize roti.

* Dough is soft becoj we have added green leaves vegetable.

* Tandoor becomes hot now apply some water at one side of Tikkad.

* Now stick it to the cup of tandoor and keep the flame medium to high.

* Cook it very well.

* Now keep the Tikkad out and cook it also from back side on gas.

* Apply ghee on Tikkad and serve it with jaggery,dahi,aloo pyaaj sabji or ut favorite one.
