5 Things To Avoid on First Date

Going on a first date with someone could be nerve breaking. You tend to get conscious about everything that you do! Plus there are so many other thing that you have to think about, like is your date going to like you or are you going to like them back; are they funny or stoic; do they have good manners or do they prefer candid expressions of physiological functions.

Well, a date isn’t that deadly, if only you act as yourself. But there indeed certain things that you should try to avoid on your first date. Because we all know, first impressions are huge! So here is a list of 5 things that’ll help your first date to go as smooth as butter.

* Do not start talking about marriage or having babies

It’s just your first date and you definitely don’t want to scare him away with such strong future plans, do you? Never talk about things such as getting married, meeting his parents or having babies. Dating should be taken one step at a time. Talking about things will only make your date feel uncomfortable.

* Do not talk about your past relationships

Let the past be buried deep in the past. Talking about your exes or past relationships while you are on a date, tells your date that you yet haven’t moved on from your past relationship. Also, the way you talk about your exes will give your date an image as to how you might treat him in the future. So its rather advisable that you keep this topic off the plate!

* Do not talk about your problems

Every other person deals with problems in their life. We know you might just want to get it out of your system; but this is definitely not the place to do so! Moaning about things while on a date can be very annoying for the person with you. Dating is supposed to be fun, it’s supposed to be a venue for two people to get to know each other. So it’ll be really great if you can just keep it that way!

* Do not cancel at the last minute

Don’t plan one in the first place if your aren’t sure whether or not you can make it. Again, time is valuable. If your date is already set, do not cancel it at the last minute, if in case you want to continue seeing that person. They have already scheduled their time for you and you need to respect that!

*Do not talk about yourself endlessly

We know how proud you are of yourself, but you just need to give a chance for your partner to talk! Listen him out, his likes, his dislikes, instead of just talking about you. It’s good to have confidence in who you are, but let your actions show your confidence. When you endlessly talk about yourself you appear selfish, full of yourself, and unrelatable!
