The month of Savan is considered special and holy for the Hindus. It is believed that Savan is the favorite month of Lord Shiva. The beginning of the fasting month is celebrated on the sixteen months of Swan Mas. Fasting is considered very fruitful and auspicious on the Monday of the Sawan Month. Especially on the second Monday of Sawan, fasting is provided by Shiva to provide health and strength.

In Savannah, Shiva is returning to his places by taking the Ganges water for Shiva worship. In addition, devotees are sacrificing Shiva in the temples. It is said that the month of Savan is very dear to Bhole-Bhandari. At this time, Shiva fulfills the demands of his devotees. Shiva's worship is the month of worship, Sawan. According to the Puranas and scriptures, there are three types of fasting on Monday. Savan Monday, 16th Monday and Som Pradosh. The method of fasting on Monday is the same in all the vows. It is considered auspicious to start this fast in the month of Shravan. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshiped in the vow of Shravan Monday. Shravan is started on Monday from the sunrise to the third day. After Shiva worship, it is necessary to listen to the story of the fasting Monday. The faster should have a meal once a day. According to Shiva Mahapurana, Lord Shiva is pleased with only a latha water, ballet, chanting chanting. Therefore, if the person worshiped Shiva so much, then man gets freedom from sin. After the preparation of the full worship , take a resolution with the following mantra -

इन तिथि पर शिव जी को बिल्वपत्र चढ़ाना होगा हानिकारक


'मम क्षेमस्थैर्यविजयारोग्यैश्वर्याभिवृद्धयर्थं सोमवार व्रतं करिष्ये'

'ध्यायेन्नित्यंमहेशं रजतगिरिनिभं चारुचंद्रावतंसं रत्नाकल्पोज्ज्वलांग परशुमृगवराभीतिहस्तं प्रसन्नम्‌. पद्मासीनं समंतात्स्तुतममरगणैर्व्याघ्रकृत्तिं वसानं विश्वाद्यं विश्ववंद्यं निखिलभयहरं पंचवक्त्रं त्रिनेत्रम्‌॥

ध्यान के पश्चात 'ॐ नमः शिवाय' से शिवजी का तथा ' ॐ नमः शिवाय' से पार्वतीजी का षोडशोपचार पूजन करें.
