3 Ways To Remove Gel Nailpaint

Maintaining your manicure for a longer period can be one problem and removing it is yet another headache. It’s difficult for you to remove it neatly without getting it all over your fingers. And going to the parlour everytime to get it done isn’t an option for you. Well then we have 3 tricks and tips that’ll help you to remove your gel manicure hassle-free at home and you won’t even get it on your fingers. Read on to know more!

* Grab A Kit

Just like manicure kits, there are nail paint removal kits as well available in the market. Grab one and it’s sure to ease your work 100 times. They come equipped with everything that you need to strip the shellac of your nails. They work perfectly on salon and DIY jobs. They also come with conditioning acetone and a gel remover pot in which you pour the solution and dip your hand in one at a time to loosen up the gel polish.

* DIY Foils

If you frequently happen to get gel manicures then this method is probably the best for you as some of the kits may not include enough solution for regular removals. Pick a bottle of acetone, cotton pads and some tin foil from your kitchen. Buff the surface of your manicure with a nail filer, then soak a cotton pad with some acetone and place it on your nails and cover it with small pieces of foil. After 10 to 15 minutes the gel nails will slide right off with the cotton pads.

* Soaking Method

This method takes the longest but is helpful when you don’t have cotton pads or tin foil. Grab two bowls from the kitchen, one slightly larger than the other. Fill the larger bowl with water and place the smaller one inside (like the double boiler) and pour in some acetone in it. Allow the solution to warm for a minute or two. Do not heat or microwave the acetone as its highly flammable. Buff the surfaces of your manicure and place your hands in the solution allowing the gel to gradually soak it off. After 10 to 15 minutes you’ll notice the corners coming loose. As you see the nails steeping in the acetone, take a toothpick and gently begin to loosen the gel on each nail until it is removed completely.
