5 Tips To Help You Organize Your Make Up

Yes, we know you’re lazy. But that doesn’t mean you don’t take care of your beloved makeup kit! You love that particular lipstick and treat that expensive concealer like a treasure. But you can just never find it when you actually need it! So why not learn to organise your makeup kit better?

# Divide The Loot

It’s best to divide your makeup based on different parts of your face. Mainly three categories of eyes, face, and lips. If you have a large makeup bag, segregate them into different pouches and bags. Tag the bags or better use transparent ouches so you can see what’s in them to save time. Brushes and applicators should be in another bag/pouch since they could easily break and get damaged in case of makeup spillage in your bigger bag. Micro organising is also a good way to separate your products into smaller pockets/pouches for easy use.

# All In One Spot

As much as variety is the spice of life when it comes to make-up, it’s better if you store the same kind of products with the same kind. Example, all your eye makeup-up products can go in a longer pouch that can hold your eye pencils, eyeliners, kajals, mascara, concealers, undereye creams, and other eyeshadow palettes. This helps you get ahold of anything you need for your eyes in one swoop.

# Less Is More

Sounds crazy but you don’t need every shade of lipstick every day! Less is more when it comes to keeping makeup organised. Hold on to your favorites products, or at least the ones that give you the best results. But you don’t need to lug around entire suitcases of makeup everywhere you go. Eye, lip and cheek Palettes are better instead of singular products.

# Double It Up

Can you use that eyeliner as a lip liner? Or that blush as a lipstick? Double on make-up products where you can manage it. Opt for products that can serve multiple purposes like lipstick that can act as an eyeshadow and also as a cheek tint. It’ll save space in your makeup kit and still get you the perfect looks.

# Repair & Discard

What can’t be saved needs to be dumped in the bin right away! If you are lazy, you definitely clean out your makeup bags and kits after months or even years! Most makeup products don’t have such long expiration dates so you need to keep them updated and throw away products past the date or you’ll end up ruining your face. They’ll give you rashes and infections and acne if used past the dates. Repair makeup palettes with drops of isopropyl alcohol and they’ll be brand new. Clean out brushes and applicators regularly to avoid any makeup buildup.
