Sidharth Malhotra And Parineeti Chopra To Go Desi In Upcoming Ekta Kapoor Flick

Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, who will be reuniting together after four years, are all set to begin shooting for their upcoming film in Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh R Singh’s upcoming production.

As per Mumbai Mirror reports, the film will mark a directorial debut of Prashant Singh as it will go on floors in next week. Talking about it, a source stated to the leading tabloid, Mumbai Mirror, “The entire film is set in Uttar Pradesh, where the first schedule will take off, and Bihar. In this film, Sidharth and Parineeti will be seen in desi avatars and the actors have already started prep for the film, which includes getting the Bihari accent right.”

Earlier, Ekta Kapoor spoke about the project by saying, “That’s my Grease Lightning (a 1977 American biographical film of champion race driver Wendell Scott) in today’s times with Sid. Set in a small town in North India, it’s my most massy film.”

Meanwhile, Sidharth and Parineeti were last seen together in 2014’s film, Hasee Toh Phasee. Apart from Ekta Kapoor’s production, Parineeti will next be seen in Arjun Kapoor starrer Namaste England and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. The actress will be sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar for the first time in Kesari. The film is based on the famous of Battle of Saragarhi and will release next year.
