Akal Takht is another popular religious site in Amritsar city. It is one of the five Takhts (seats of authority) of Sikhs. This timeless Gurudwara is highly revered by Sikhs. After the Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple is another renowned Hindu temple in Punjab. Located in Amritsar city, the structure of this temple shares similarities with the Durgiana temple. It is also popularly called Laxmi Narayan Temple. This primary section of this temple is devoted to Goddess Durga. You can also find idols of Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Lakshmi here. Another religious place in Punjab for Hindu devotees is Shri Kali Devi Temple. This site was built in 1936 by the emperor of Patiala. Located in close proximity to Baradari Gardens, the temple is an ideal place for devotes of Goddess Kali. Baba Kanaiya Gir Temple is an ancient temple that was built 200 years back. This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva, and named after the famous saint Shri Baba Kanaiya Gir Ji Maharaj. This saint is regarded as a religious icon and worshipped by several followers. Baba Kanaiya Gir Temple is situated in the Hoshiarpur town of Punjab.
