More than 14,000 species of vegetation, 120 varieties of birds, over 75 kinds of butterflies, and a large population of reptiles can be found here. This place was once a dumping ground for the city Mumbai but was converted into a forest by the efforts of Worldwide Fund (WWF) of Nature and Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
