Makar Sankranti- No ‘Makar Sankranti’ Celebration At Lalu's Residence

Unlike in the past, RJD Chief Lalu Prasad`s residence in the state capital would not be abuzz with activity on January 14, the 'Makar Sankranti' day as his family members would not celebrate the festival this year.
The two main reasons for cancellation of Makar Sankranti celebration are imprisonment of Mr Prasad following his conviction in yet another case of fodder scam and death of RJD Chief`s elder sister Gangotri Devi.
RJD workers would also not celebrate ‘Makar Sankranti’ this year in view of these reasons.
The official residence of RJD Chief Mr Prasad at 10, Circular Road in the state capital in the past had grand celebrations on the occasion of Makar Sankranti for two consecutive days from January 14.
On the first day of festivity, people visited Mr Prasad`s residence to relish curd and flattened rice, on the second day members of the minority community visited the residence to enjoy the festival.
