Rakesh Roshan has dismissed recent rumours suggesting that his son, Hrithik Roshan, demanded a staggering budget of Rs 500 crore for Krrish 4. Calling the reports completely baseless, the veteran filmmaker clarified that there are no financial disputes affecting the much-awaited superhero franchise.
Speculation had emerged that the project was facing delays because Hrithik allegedly insisted on a Rs 500 crore budget to deliver top-notch visual effects and grand action sequences, while producer Aditya Chopra was reportedly reluctant to exceed Rs 350 crore. The reports further claimed that these differences had led to disagreements between the actor and the production team, causing the film’s progress to stall.
Refuting the claims, Rakesh Roshan categorically stated that there is no truth to such reports. He described the rumours as “nonsense” and denied that Hrithik had ever made such a budget demand. He also rejected suggestions of any tension between the actor and the makers, stressing that the project is moving ahead smoothly without any issues.
Speaking about the film’s timeline, Rakesh explained that a large-scale project like Krrish 4 requires extensive planning and preparation. He noted that every installment in the Krrish series has taken considerable time to develop before reaching the big screen. He further revealed that Hrithik’s busy professional commitments have also contributed to the pace of development, rather than any budget-related concerns.
The clarification comes amid growing excitement among fans eagerly waiting for updates on the next installment of India’s most popular superhero franchise. Krrish 4 is also expected to mark Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project. With Rakesh Roshan putting the rumours to rest, it appears that the film remains firmly on course, and reports of budget clashes have no basis in reality.
