Chaitra Navratri Festival 2018- Why Is It So Auspicious To Worship On Mahanavmi

On the Navami i.e. Durga Navami, many people complete their fast and in the end, young girls are worshiped and they are invited to homes for food and seeking their blessings.

The Navami coming in the Shardhi Navaratri is also called Mahanavami. The ninth day of Durga Puja is Navami Navaratri, the last day. These nine days of Mother Durga are celebrated with great enthusiasm in Hinduism. After this, Dussehra which is also called Vijayadashmi on the tenth day is celebrated as a big festival. From the evening of Ashtami, the date of Navami takes place. This day is the last day of fasting and the last days of Tapas.

Navratri is concluded by worshiping the daughter. It is believed that on this day Mother Durga had killed Mahishasur, hence on this day it was celebrated as a festival in the name of Mahanavami and Durga Navami. It is a custom to celebrate Mahasanan and Shodashopchar on the great day. This worship is done after the evening of Ashtami, when the date of Navami dates. Durga sacrifice is worshiped on the eve of the Navami day. On this day i.e. on the eve of the Navami it is necessary to make havan. Havana is done in Navami Poojan only for the conclusion of Navaratri. The day of Navami is the day of Mother Siddhidathri. It is considered to be the auspicious time to conclude Navratri after his worship and legend.

According to the scriptures, there is a belief that Mother Parvati took the form of Durga to kill the monster named Mahishasur. Mahishasura was a monster that competing against it became difficult for all the gods. Therefore, Adishakti took the form of Durga and fought for 8 days from Mahishasur and killed Mahishasur on the ninth day. Since then Navaratri was worshiped. On the ninth day, it became known from the day of Mahanavmi. Along with that, Lord Rama had worshiped Lord Durga for nine days before going to war with Ravana, and then after climbing on Lanka, killed Ravana on the tenth day. Therefore, the festival of Vijayshashmi is celebrated on the next day of Navratri. This day is celebrated on the unreal of truth as victory and victory of religion.
