* A stone scrub

First and foremost, ensure you have a good quality natural pumice stone for best results. Low quality ones and metal foot files won’t be as effective and they’ll only damage your skin. Using a pumice stone is quite easy because you can scrub your feet in the shower. Shower first as you normally would and give time for the soap and water to soften your heels. Once your heels have softened, scrub gently and rinse. Moisturize while your feet are still a little moist but not wet.

* Aloe vera mask

Aloe vera has skin rejuvenating vitamins, collagen promoting properties and antibacterial properties to keep infections away. It works well after you have already exfoliated your feet with a pumice stone. While your feet are still moist, apply some aloe vera gel and massage it into your skin. Once the gel has been absorbed, wear a pair of cotton socks and leave them on overnight. Do this a couple of times a week until you get the desired results.

* Apple cider vinegar soak

This quick and easy remedy will exfoliate your skin and clear out the dead skin cells. Prepare the soak by filling a small bucket with some warm water. Warm water is suitable because it’ll soften your skin and allow the vinegar to work. Then pour in a few spoons of apple cider vinegar and mix. Soak your feet in the vinegar water for around 20 minutes depending on the severity of the cracks and then scrub with a pumice stone to remove the dead skin. This will soften and exfoliate your skin. Repeat the process once or twice in a week.

* Honey soak

Honey is not new to the skin care game. It has antioxidants that rejuvenate the skin, giving it that refreshing glow. Fill a bucket with some warm water and add in a good amount of honey. Soak your feet for a few minutes then scrub with a pumice stone and rinse. Follow up with a good moisturizer.
