# Rangdum, Ladakh

It is located midway between Padum in the scenic Zanskar Valley and Kargil. This is must visit in the Leh Ladakh tour. Most of the visitors believe that it is inaccessible in winter but that is not the case. Rangdum can be visited at any time of the year. It does not receive very heavy snowfall so you can enjoy the pleasant condition and live in the charm of snow-clad mountain peaks and vibrant valleys. Located some 60 km from Mussoorie this is also a place which has minimum human intrusion and you can visit it if you want a break from your monotonous life and a treat for your sense. Winter sets in at Dhanaulti from last week of October and continues till mid of February. Temperature ranges from 7 degrees to 1 degree Celsius during peak winter months. February is an ideal month to visit this place as you will not experience harsh winter but still manage to see sheets of snow around the place. An occasional snowfall might also occur if you are lucky. Apple orchards, Dhanaulti Adventure Park and the serene Surkanda Devi temple are prime attractions of the place.

Quite a little town at an altitude of 9000 meters in Shimla is well known for its natural beauty and apple orchards. You will get a reasonable deal on flights and hotels as most of the summer crowd would have left and there will be very less population. The streams and rivers will be in full form due to waste supply in monsoon and the confers and pine will also be at their liveliest. Even though the temperature in winter can go down till -10 degree Celsius but it will be all ready for ski activities and hence a perfect getaway for a fun-filled vacation will kids or friends.

Popularly known as the Switzerland of Sikkim, is at an altitude of about 12666 Ft. The temperature in winter is in negative and there is cold chilly wind to make your journey a bit tough but exciting. It is an army base camp in North Sikkim and even though some of the places have restricted access, whatever place is open to the public is the perfect place for a thrilling experience which has rough terrains, snowy mountains, and waterfalls.

The forgotten divine valley of Andhra Pradesh which is only 29 km from the MacMahon Line is located in the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh and is breathtakingly beautiful. Winters are the best time to visit it and see views of snow-capped peaks, vast meadows, and evergreen pine forests.
