Jhajjar is a city in the Jhajjar region of the Indian province of Haryana. It was separated from Rohtak area on 15 July 1997. The town is on the interconnection of Rewari to Rohtak on NH-352, Charkhi Dadri to Delhi and Gurgaon to Bhiwani. Jhajjar’s location is 55 kilometres to the west of Delhi. For their part in 1857 defiance against the Britishers, three primary heads of Haryana were arrested and hanged at Kotwali in Chandani Chowk of Old Delhi. Nahar Singh, the king of Ballabhgarh, was hanged on 9 January 1858. Abdur Rehman, the nawab of Jhajjar, was also suspended on 23 January 1858. Another king Ahmad Ali, the nawab of Farrukhnagar, was hanged till death on 23 January 1858.

# Bua Wala Talab

Bua Wala Talab is a painful place yet excellent love story is attached. The main story that lies behind this place is of a lady named Bua, who was the daughter of Mustafa Kalol. Her father had a prestigious government post, she was beautiful and brave, but once she had gone to the nearby jungle, she fell into the prey of a tiger. A guy named Hassan helped, saved her and took her back to the palace where she lived. Instantly she fell in love with Hassan, and both always met at the pond outside their courtyard.

Once Hassan went to a battle and unfortunately died there. When Bua came to know this, she went near the pond, met her lover’s body and buried him there and built a tomb in his memory. Bua also passed away on account of her lover’s sad demise, and her burial lay beside Hassan’s one. Since then this area came to be known as Bua Wala Talab. # Group of Tombs and Mosques

The unique group of tombs and mosques is in the Bua ka Talab area. According to many historians, it’s built in the period between 1594 to 1626 AD. Many people say that these mosques were created when the great Mughal emperor Shahjahan ruled, i.e. from 1594 to 1626 AD.
