The city of Ayodhya is one of the ancient cities of India. According to Hindu mythology, the Sapta Puris include Ayodhya, Mathura, Haridwar, Kashi, Kanchi, Anvatika and Dwarka. All these seven are Mokshadayini and holy cities. Among the four Vedas, Ayodhya is considered as the city of God in the Atharvaveda. Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya. Saryu River

Saryu is seen in the ancient rivers of India as a river flowing near Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. It is believed to originate from the Kailash Mansarovar in the Himalayas in the north, which later disappear due to any natural or geographical reasons. According to Ramayana, Lord Rama took water samadhi in this river. The Saryu River originates in the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. This river originates from Bahraich and passes through Gonda to Ayodhya.

Nageshwarnath Temple

In addition to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Lord Shiva also has a grand temple. According to religious beliefs, this temple was built by Kush, the son of Lord Rama. It is said that when Kush was bathing in the Saryu river, his arm was lost. Kush's arm was found by a snake girl who fell in love with Kush. Kush built this temple for Nag Kanya only.

Mani Mountain

Many mythological beliefs are also associated with Mani Parvat. It is said that when Hanuman ji was bringing Sanjeevani Booti, a part of it fell in Ayodhya. That part is known as Mani Parvat.

Kanak Bhavan

Kanak Bhavan is also known as the house of gold. There are gold crowned idols of Lord Rama and Sita. It is quite a grand and beautiful palace. It is believed that after marriage, Mata Kaushalya showed this mouth to Sita, wife of Lord Rama.

Dasharatha Bhawan

Dasharatha Bhawan, located in the middle of the city, is the place where Lord Rama's father and King Dasaratha of Ayodhya resided. It is a grand palace, people come from far and wide to see it.

Sita's kitchen

In fact, Sita's kitchen is not a kitchen but it is a temple. It is believed that Sita's kitchen was here. In one corner of the temple is a model of the old kitchen where a sample of antiques, utensils etc. On the other side of the temple complex are the idols of the four brothers Ram, Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna and their wives.

Treta Ke Thakur

Treta Ke Thakur is an ancient temple situated on the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya. It is believed that the idols of Lord Rama are kept in this temple which were carved with black sand stones in ancient times. It is also said about this temple that this is the place where Shri Ram performed the Ashwamedha Yagna. If you are going to visit Ayodhya then you must go to visit this holy temple.

Moti Mahal

Moti Mahal is a very attractive structure located a few kilometers from the city of Ayodhya in Faizabad which is popularly known as 'Pearl Palace'. This palace was constructed in 1743 AD which was the home of Rani Begum Unmatujohara Banu, wife of Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula. Little Devkali and Big Devkali

Apart from the above, two goddess places are also very famous in our Ayodhya. We know by the name of Choti Devakali and Bada Devakali. It is believed about Choti Devakali that she is the Kuldevi of Mother Sita and after the marriage of Mother Sita, she came to Ayodhya with Mother Sita. And for these the divine temple was built here. This place falls in the middle of Hanuman Garhi from Nayaghat. Elder Devakali mother is recognized as the total goddess of Lord Shri Ram. It is present in the outer region of Ayodhya.
