This ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located in Thrissur. The temple is known for its aesthetic values. Famous as one of the oldest temples in Kerala, Vadakkunnathan Temple is also included in the UNESCO world heritage site. The murals and paintings decorated on the walls of the temples are 400-1000 years old. Along with a Shiva shrine, a shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu is also created inside the temple.
