Method

- Heat a heavy-bottomed pan or kadai on low to medium heat.

- Add the fine semolina (rava) and dry roast it until it turns fragrant and slightly golden brown. Stir continuously to prevent burning.

- Once roasted, remove the semolina from the pan and set it aside.

- In the same pan, add ghee and let it melt.

- Add the chopped nuts and sauté them until they become slightly golden.

- Add the grated coconut and continue to sauté for a few more minutes until it turns light brown.

- If you're using saffron strands for added flavor and color, you can dissolve them in a teaspoon of warm milk and add it to the mixture.

- Add the roasted semolina (rava) to the ghee and nut mixture.

- Mix everything well, ensuring that the semolina is coated with ghee and the mixture has a crumbly texture.

- Add sugar and cardamom powder to the mixture.

- Mix thoroughly and adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding more sugar if needed.

- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, so it's comfortable to handle.

- Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddoos by rolling them between your palms. You can make them as big or small as you like.

- If desired, roll the laddoos in desiccated coconut for an extra layer of flavor and texture.

- Allow the Rava Laddoos to cool completely before storing them in an airtight container.

- Offer these homemade laddoos to Lord Krishna as prasad and share them with your family and friends to spread the festive joy.
