Priyanka Chopra Fighting Against Children Violence

Recently, moved to Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra always remains in news with her show or upcoming Hollywood movies. She is making India proud and famous around the world with her hard work. Few days back, she was in news by wearing Ralph Lauren designed longest coat.

And now after Met Gala, she has joined hands with UNICEF and she is in Harare Zimbabwe on a field visit in the first part of my trip to Africa as part of our efforts to #EndViolence against Children.

Loyd( in the red t shirt) wants to be a musician. He has an incredible voice and is currently finishing a song he's composed called"I'm not shy of my status" thandiwe( the girl in the blue t who wants to be a psychologist ) and Tendai(in the checked t who wants to be an EMT) both had stories that made my heart break over and over again.. these young kids are so brave to have accepted their HIV status and know that they can live a wholesome life instead of giving up..AFRICAID is an inspirational organization that provides specialist services to children to be safe. This incredible group of CATS( community adolescent treatment supporters) who themselves are young children and adults living with HIV.. support HIV positive kids and families with knowledge skills and how to deal with the stigma of living with HIV. #unicef and #AFRICAID have partnered to do so much good work. I'm so moved and privileged to have spent so much time with them and the care workers. 🙏🏻 keep inspiring the world.. Ps. I didn't post a pic with the faces of the group since a lot of them wanted their identity concealed because of the stigma they may face.

These are #childline counselors. All volunteers sit 24/7, 365 days a year by these phones so any child who has been abused can call the number 116 to get immediate attention. They get at least a 1000 calls a day by children who report physical or sexual abuse, more than 600,000 calls a day. These numbers are staggering. The abuse of children here is an epidemic. Childline is funded by UNICEF to provide support to the much needed children of Zimbabwe. This an example and a module that a lot more countries should follow so that children have a safe place that they can always reach out to and know that their call will be answered by a compassionate person who will take their complaints seriously and respond. I'm so amazed by the dedication of all the wonderful people working for childline who are volunteers only because they believe all children deserve attention. Thank you for sharing and inspiring 🙏🏼

Throwback to where it all began 10 years ago. My relationship with @unicefindia that lead to me being the global ambassador for #UNICEF..This was a picture from the Deepshikha program that started in india with me and UNICEF years ago about teaching adolescent Indian girls to deal with child marriage, teenage problems and stigma. Thank u #unicef for so many years of field work around the world. For inspiring me to use my platform as a public person to bring light to plight of girls and children around the world. Each child matters. All over the world . 🙏🏼 we can all make a difference. Donate your time. And the resources you may want to donate. Touch the children of the world with compassion. The world is ours and the children of the world are our future. Miss u Geetanjali master @natashapal @mrinster . You were the beginning of my journey❤️
