Google is preparing to expand its Pixel 10 lineup with a new affordable smartphone, and the company has now offered an early look at what’s ahead. Through its official Made by Google X account, Google has revealed the design of the upcoming Google Pixel 10a, while also confirming that pre-orders for the device will open on February 18, 2026. The teaser suggests that the Pixel 10a will arrive with a noticeably refreshed design language compared to its predecessor.
A cleaner rear look with a flat camera setupA short 15-second teaser video highlights one of the most significant visual changes on the Pixel 10a. Unlike the Pixel 9a, which featured a raised camera bump surrounding its pill-shaped module, the upcoming model adopts a fully flat camera layout.
The camera housing now sits flush with the rear panel, resulting in a more streamlined and minimalist appearance. This shift in design is likely to appeal to users who prefer a sleeker back profile without protruding elements.
Google hints at more than just cosmetic updatesBeyond the design reveal, Google has remained tight-lipped about the Pixel 10a’s official specifications. However, the caption accompanying the teaser read, “A phone with more in store, in store soon,” hinting that the device may bring more substantial improvements beyond its refreshed exterior.
While details remain under wraps, the messaging suggests that the Pixel 10a could deliver meaningful upgrades aimed at enhancing everyday usability.
