This DIY Green Tea Scrub Will Be a Treat For Your Skin

I love DIY scrubs that can be whipped up in minutes. These all natural homemade scrubs are simple to make and leave the skin soft and exfoliated. One of my favorite treatments is a DIY Green Tea Scrub that requires three commonly available ingredients- Green Tea, Sugar, and Olive Oil. I made this scrub today morning.

Today was my much needed at-home spa day. In fact, I like to pamper my skin with a DIY treatment at least once a week. One of my favorite ways to relax is by giving myself a foot spa at home. I had shared a post about doing a foot spa in four simple steps a few days back.

Coming back to this DIY scrub, I have added brewed green tea water in this scrub for its skin benefits. However, you can skip it if you want to make a big batch that lasts for 2-3 uses. Just ensure that it is stored in an airtight container to prevent it from spoiling.

If you are a fan of sugar scrubs, then you will love using this green tea scrub. It effectively removes all impurities and leaves you with healthy-looking skin. I have used olive oil as my skin needs extra moisture during cooler weather. You can substitute it with coconut oil if you want. This DIY scrub is gentle enough for use on the entire body. Be extra careful while using it in the shower as it can get slippery because of the oil.

Green tea

Green tea refreshes me and uplifts my mood. In fact, I am sipping my cup of green tea while writing this post. Drinking green tea has its own benefits but do you know that this magical drink is great for the skin? It is rich in antioxidants that fight free radicals. Not only that, green tea soothes tired skin and has anti-aging properties too.

Sugar

We all know that cutting down sugar from the diet is essential for healthy, glowing skin. However, you don’t have to worry before using it in your beauty routine. Sugar is a great scrub that gently exfoliates to reveal beautiful skin underneath. It is a natural humectant that draws moisture from the environment and hydrates the skin. These properties make sugar excellent for use in your skincare routine.

Olive Oil

Olive oil needs no introduction. It is known to be one of the best ingredients for skin and hair. Olive oil is an excellent moisturizer that works wonders for the skin. It is rich in fats and antioxidants that nourish the skin.
