Akshay Kumar Unveils ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ First Poster On His Birthday

On his 56th birthday, actor Akshay Kumar had a delightful surprise in store for his fans as he revealed the first poster of his upcoming comedy film 'Welcome To The Jungle.' He took to Instagram to share the poster along with a heartfelt caption that read, "Thank you for all the love & wishes. Now, if you liked the Apple Kela, sorry A cappella here’s another welcome gift for you… Welcome…Welcome…Welcome #WecomeToTheJungle #Welcome3 In cinemas, Christmas - 20th December, 2024. #Welcome3.”

The poster prominently features the complete ensemble cast of the film, which includes Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Suneil Shetty, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, Paresh Rawal, and Johnny Lever, among others. The star-studded lineup also features Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, and Yashpal Sharma.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film is currently in the pre-production stage and is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on December 20, 2024. This movie marks the third installment of the beloved 'Welcome' franchise, which initially starred Feroz Khan, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. The second installment, titled 'Welcome Back,' was released in 2015, with John Abraham and Shruti Haasan replacing Akshay and Katrina in the lead roles. Both films were directed by Anees Bazmee.

Upon the release of the poster, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons, expressing their excitement. Many hailed it as a significant comeback and praised the exceptional star cast. However, some fans fondly remembered the iconic duo of Uday-Majnu (Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar’s characters from the first two installments) and expressed that 'Welcome' is incomplete without them.

Earlier in the day, the 'Welcome To The Jungle' team shared a special announcement video on social media. Akshay Kumar, in particular, shared the video on his Instagram with the caption, “Khud ko aur aap sab ko ek birthday gift diya hai aaj. Akshay is currently basking in the success of his recently released drama film 'OMG 2,' which also featured Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. His next film, 'Mission Raniganj: The Grand Bharat Rescue,' alongside Parineeti Chopra, is set to hit theaters on October 6. Additionally, he has several exciting projects lined up, including the Hindi remake of the Tamil drama 'Soorarai Pottru,' set to release on February 16, 2024, an action thriller 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' alongside Tiger Shroff, and 'Housefull 5,' a comedy film.
