Always Wanted To Make Punjab Proud Of My Work: Ayushmann Khurrana

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is currently riding high on the success of his recently released comedy film 'Dream Girl 2.' Hailing from Punjab, Ayushmann expressed the importance of his home state taking pride in his body of work.

The 'Dream Girl' actor shared, "As a Punjabi, it means the world to me that Punjab takes pride in my work. I'm immensely grateful to the people of Punjab for the unwavering love they have consistently showered upon me."

He continued, "Right from my debut film, Punjab has been my strongest support system, always cheering me on and standing by my side through thick and thin. Their love has been unconditional."

Throughout the years, Ayushmann has delivered impactful performances in films like 'Vicky Donor,' 'Article 15,' 'Andhadhun,' and 'Bala.' He credited the blessings, support, and feedback from his Punjabi audience for his journey, emphasizing his pride in representing Punjab's culture and traditions through his craft.

"I genuinely love incorporating Punjabi elements in my songs and characters. It's a thrill for me whenever I get to portray a Punjabi character in my films, like in 'Vicky Donor,' 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,' and more," he expressed.

While Ayushmann hasn't announced his next project yet, he stated, "Today, as 'Dream Girl 2' enjoys success, I'm overwhelmed with memories of how Punjab embraced me right from my debut. I'm eagerly looking forward to making Punjabis around the world even prouder with the work I'll undertake in the future."

'Dream Girl 2' is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in lead roles, with a strong ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Seema Pahwa, Abhishek Banerjee, Manoj Joshi, and Annu Kapoor.
