Mika Singh Recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s Witty Warning, 'Loot Legi Tujhe,' After He Chose Gauri Khan For His ₹50 Crore Luxury Home Interiors

Singer Mika Singh has offered a rare glimpse into his extensive real estate journey, revealing that he owns as many as 99 properties, with his most prized residence being a lavish Mumbai apartment worth around ₹50 crore. The Jumme Ki Raat singer recently opened the doors of his luxurious home for fans, sharing personal anecdotes about its creation, design process, and his long-standing association with the Shah Rukh Khan family, which played a key role in shaping the interiors.

From Rs 75 first paycheck to a Rs 50 crore lifestyle

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Mika Singh reflected on his early days in the music industry and how far he has come. He described his current milestone of owning 99 properties as something he never imagined while starting out. Recalling his beginnings, he shared that his first earnings were just ₹75, but he never felt disappointed by it. As a teenager performing at local jagrans, he was simply grateful to be earning. He also credited his brother Daler Mehndi for guiding him in his early journey, saying that consistent performances and learning from experience helped him understand how talent can eventually translate into success and wealth.

How the Rs 50 crore Mumbai apartment came into his life

Mika Singh also narrated the story behind purchasing his premium Mumbai property. He revealed that he bought the apartment in 2012 while staying in Andheri West. At the time, he was living comfortably in Shastri Nagar and had no immediate plans to shift. However, after hearing about a promising new building, he decided to explore the opportunity and eventually ended up purchasing multiple units in the same complex.

He further added that the building project took several years to complete, and the possession was finally handed over in 2018 after a long wait. Over time, this space evolved into his signature luxury residence.

Shah Rukh Khan’s connection and Gauri Khan’s design journey

A key highlight of Mika Singh’s story is his association with Shah Rukh Khan, who helped him connect with interior designer Gauri Khan for the home’s design. Mika shared that when he approached Shah Rukh Khan with the request, the superstar jokingly warned him, saying, “Bahut loot legi tujhe,” referring to the high-end design costs involved.

Despite the lighthearted warning, Mika went ahead and met Gauri Khan, who took charge of transforming the space. According to him, she set a clear condition right at the beginning, stating that her design decisions should not be questioned. The entire interior transformation reportedly took nearly two years to complete, resulting in a highly curated luxury living space.

Inside Mika Singh’s five-bedroom lavish residence

Giving fans a walkthrough of his home, Mika Singh showcased several sections of his sprawling apartment. He pointed out a specially designed guest suite that resembles a five-star hotel room, reserved exclusively for visitors. Originally an eight-bedroom layout, the residence was redesigned by Gauri Khan into a five-bedroom configuration.

He explained that the home now includes multiple rooms allocated for guests, family members, and personal use. The property is spacious enough to host around 40 people comfortably for gatherings and social events, making it both a luxury residence and an entertainment-friendly space.

The house also features a dedicated temple space with idols of Lord Ganesh, Goddess Lakshmi, and Goddess Saraswati. Mika mentioned that every property he owns includes a Ganesh idol, reflecting his personal beliefs and traditions.

Mika Singh on wealth, investments, and business mindset

Speaking about his financial philosophy, Mika Singh emphasized the importance of saving and smart investing. He said many people tend to spend excessively on luxury accessories, whereas he prefers to channel earnings into long-term assets and investments.

He also addressed public curiosity about his agricultural land holdings, clarifying that while people often hear about his large farm properties, they overlook the fact that such assets require significant investment and also provide employment to many people. According to him, his farm operations alone support around 150 workers.

Content creator Bilal Sayed, who documented the home tour, added further insights into the scale of the property, revealing that Mika occupies an entire floor of the building. His music studio is located on the sixth floor, while the main residence sits on the tenth floor, reinforcing the scale of his multi-level luxury setup.
