Sanjay Mishra Rejects The Notion Of Nepotism In Bollywood: "I Don’t Think Our Industry Faces Discrimination"

Sanjay Mishra, a versatile actor known for his roles in both mainstream commercial films and unconventional cinema, recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing nepotism debate in the industry. According to him, nepotism is a non-issue in Bollywood. In a candid conversation, he discussed his upcoming film 'Guthlee Ladoo,' which sheds light on the discrimination prevalent in the education system.

Addressing the nepotism debate, Mishra stated, "I don't believe there's any discrimination in our industry. The concept of nepotism doesn't exist. Every parent wishes to secure their child's future and hopes they achieve greater success. Those who talk about nepotism are merely seeking attention. In our industry, survival depends on one's talent and skills."

Regarding the significance of 'Guthlee Ladoo,' Mishra emphasized the importance of reaching a wider audience. He expressed, "A film like 'Guthlee Ladoo' should be accessible to everyone. The government should ensure its widespread screening so that every child, regardless of their background, can watch it. This movie has the potential to inspire countless children."

'Guthlee Ladoo' narrates the story of Guthlee, the son of a poor sweeper who aspires to attend school despite caste-based barriers. Although a sympathetic headmaster stands by him, the prevailing caste discrimination poses a significant challenge. Their unspoken bond instills hope in Guthlee's dreams. The film, directed by Ishrat R. Khan, features Sanjay Mishra, Subrat Dutta, and Kalyanee Mulay and is set to hit theaters on 13 October.
