Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller ‘Jawan’ enters Rs 100 crore club

The fervor for Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster action-thriller, 'Jawan,' shows no signs of waning.

The movie has now joined the prestigious Rs 100 crore club.

On Friday, the film raked in a staggering Rs 46.23 crores in India, propelling its total collection to an impressive Rs 111.73 crores within just two days of its release.

Taking to Instagram, trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted and commented, "On Day 2, #Jawan is nothing short of PHENOMENAL [considering it's a working day, following a partial holiday on Thu]… Business witnessed a significant surge post 4.30 pm… The response, be it in metros, non-metros, or mass pockets, is EXCEPTIONAL… The weekend ahead (Saturday - Sunday) promises even BIGGER GAINS… Anticipating a weekend collection between ₹235 crore to ₹250 crore [extended weekend]... The film made an astounding debut at the Indian box office, amassing a whopping Rs 65.50 crores on its opening day.

As per Red Chillies Entertainment, the film has grossed a total of Rs 129.6 crore worldwide, marking the highest opening day collection in the history of Indian cinema.
With this achievement, Shah Rukh Khan's starrer has become the biggest Hindi opener film of all time.

Previously, SRK's comeback film, 'Pathaan,' had an opening day collection of Rs 55 Crores. 'Jawan' has now surpassed that record.

Directed by Atlee, the movie features Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Deepika Padukone makes a guest appearance in the film.

Both audiences and critics have showered the film with overwhelming praise.

SRK went all out for the promotional events of 'Jawan,' visiting numerous locations. In Chennai, he attended a significant pre-release function. During his visit to Dubai, the 'Jawan' trailer was showcased on the iconic Burj Khalifa.

Additionally, he paid his respects at the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu.
Recently, he sought blessings at the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Tirupati, accompanied by his daughter Suhana and manager Pooja Dadlani. SRK and Suhana were dressed in elegant white ethnic attire. Nayanthara, his co-star from 'Jawan,' along with her husband Vignesh Shivan, was also seen at the temple.

In addition to this success, SRK is set to appear in director Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming film, 'Dunki,' alongside Taapsee Pannu. The official release date for 'Dunki' is yet to be announced.
