Television Actor Dinyar Tirandaz Passes Away In Mumbai

Veteran television and film actor Dinyar Tirandaz reportedly passed away in Mumbai on June 11, 2026. His demise has saddened fans, colleagues, and members of the entertainment industry, who remember him for his extensive contribution to Indian television and cinema over several decades.
The news of his passing first emerged through a Facebook post shared by the group "Parsi Zoroastrians Worldwide – The Hyderabadi Page." The post read, "Mr Dinyar Tirandaz brother of Late Rustom Tirandaz has left for his heavenly abode. Paidust today at Wadia Bungli, Bombay, at 3:45 pm. Sarosh Yazad Ni Panah. Ashem Vohu."
Following the announcement, tributes and condolence messages poured in across social media from admirers, industry colleagues, and members of the Parsi community. According to the post, Tirandaz passed away at 3:45 pm at Wadia Bungli in Mumbai. As of now, the cause of death has not been officially revealed.
A familiar and beloved face on Indian screens, Dinyar Tirandaz enjoyed a career spanning more than four decades. He made his acting debut with the 1984 film Duniya and went on to establish himself as a versatile performer known for bringing charm, humour, and authenticity to his characters.
On television, he gained widespread recognition through popular shows such as Nukkad and Byomkesh Bakshi. One of the most iconic roles of his career was that of Mr. Keki Daruwala in the hit sitcom Zabaan Sambhal Ke. His portrayal of the character remains one of the most memorable performances in Indian television and continues to be cherished by audiences.
Beyond television, Tirandaz also appeared in several Hindi films, including Hello Brother, Kya Kehna, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Albela, Chalte Chalte, and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?. Through a variety of comic and supporting roles, he earned a reputation as a dependable actor whose performances left a lasting impression on viewers.
