Durgotsava or Durga Puja is annual Hindu festival, celebrates worship of the Hindu goddess Durga, the most popular incarnation of Devi and one of the main forms of the Goddess Shakti. Cooch Behar host one of the oldest Durga pujas of Bengal and the gigantic sized Durga sculpture is known as Borodebi. Many buffaloes, goats, pigeons are sacrificed in front of the deity by the royal family of Cooch Behar.
