Ramdan, is the holiest month of the Islamic Calendar. Very tough fast are followed for whole of the month. Every country has their special dishes for the Iftar, people generally break their fast by consuming either dates or water first. Preparation for the Iftar begins a couple of hours before sunset with some people preparing extra food to share with the needy or even inviting them to dine side by side. Here are some of the most popular dishes consumed during Ramadan in different parts of the world :

Biryani
