Sunita Ahuja Opens Up About Govinda Wearing Hair Patch: “There’s Nothing To Hide, It’s Very Common”

Sunita Ahuja, known for her candid and outspoken remarks about her marriage with actor Govinda, has recently made a surprising revelation about the 90s superstar. She shared that Govinda now uses a hair patch, while recalling how he looked during their younger days. Praising him as “extremely handsome” in their early relationship phase, Sunita told Mashable India, “Even today he looks good, but back then he had his natural hair. Now he wears a patch.”

During the conversation, when the host reacted with laughter, Sunita responded by saying that there is no reason for embarrassment when it comes to using hair patches, as it is quite normal in the entertainment industry.

She further added, “What is there to hide? Many heroes do it. Both men and women use hair patches.” According to her, such cosmetic enhancements are widely accepted in the industry and should not be treated as something shameful.

Speaking highly of Govinda’s individuality and talent, Sunita said, “My husband is one of a kind. There has been no one like him in the industry, and there will never be anyone like him again.”

Sunita’s personal take on Govinda as a husband

In another interview, Sunita Ahuja shared a more emotional perspective about her long marriage with Govinda. She said that she often feels Govinda fits better in the role of a son than that of a husband.

She explained, “I’ll say it again — Govinda is a very good son and a very good brother. But as a husband, the life I wanted… I enjoy going to parties, dinners, and holidays, but he became so involved in taking care of his family that he never really lived for himself. He is 60 now, but he has not truly enjoyed life.”

Sunita further expressed her disappointment, saying, “This makes me feel sad. You are such a huge superstar — yet what have you really experienced in life? Nothing. I always say I would want a son like Govinda, not a husband. But at this stage, there is no point in regretting anything; I cannot leave him. It has been 40 years, and even thinking about separation feels impossible.”

Allegations, responses, and Govinda’s clarification

Over the past year, Sunita Ahuja has on multiple occasions made allegations suggesting Govinda’s involvement in an extramarital affair. However, Govinda has strongly denied these claims, calling them part of a “conspiracy” against him.

In a recent conversation with ANI, Govinda explained that he chose to speak up now because remaining silent was making him appear “weak” and was contributing to a misleading public perception about him. He also hinted at a larger plan behind the allegations, suggesting that even close family members might be unintentionally dragged into it.

“What I’ve observed recently is that when we stay silent, we are either seen as weak or blamed for everything. That is why I am speaking now. I was told that some people in my family may be unknowingly involved and could be used in the early stages of a larger conspiracy,” he said.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been married since 1987 and share two children — daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan. Tina made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with the film Second Hand Husband, while Yashvardhan is reportedly preparing to enter the film industry soon.
