A disturbing video has surfaced online from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, depicting a man engaging in a banned animal sacrifice ritual. In the video, a courageous woman attempts to intervene and save the animal, but the man remains defiant, showing no remorse for his actions. Despite threats of involving the police, he callously continues the ritual.
Seated for the ceremony and firmly holding the live animal, the man dismisses the woman's pleas. "You may call the police, even call the inspector, shoo away. Don't create a scene here," he arrogantly declares. Despite her persistent requests to release the animal, he adamantly refuses.

Later in the video, the man fearlessly reveals his identity as Lalit Verma from Bhairavpur village. He dares anyone to file a complaint against him but insists they shouldn't interfere with the ritual. "My name is Lalit Verma from Bhairavpur village. Now, go and lodge a report," he challenges, trying to dismiss the woman. He emphasizes, "Don't disrupt this sacred ritual."
Throughout the video, the man tightly grips the animal, while another person prepares for the ritual. Dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, he proceeds with the 'puja,' which involves the animal's sacrifice for personal reasons. This distressing incident occurred in the Naubasta area of Kanpur.
The video concludes abruptly, leaving uncertainty about the fate of the animal. Further information on this matter is still pending. The clip has garnered attention on social media, with individuals urging authorities to address this unacceptable and illegal act. It's important to note that Sections 428 and 429 of the Indian Penal Code stipulate punishments for cruelty and crimes against animals, emphasizing the seriousness of such offenses.
