Protests are generally marked by blockage of roads, boycotting the public services and sometimes a bit of violence too. However, in Hong Kong, a strange but worth appreciating incident happened. Nearly two million people formed a sea of black along roads, walkways and train stations across Hong Kong’s financial centre to oppose a controversial extradition bill.
While the protest was going on, a protestor collapsed and an ambulance was called to take him to the hospital. What happened next, garnered praises and appreciation for the actions and presence of mind of the protestors. As soon as the ambulance came, thousands of protestors waited patiently and moved aside in an orderly manner to let it pass, before regrouping again.
Hong Kong parliamentarian Raymond Chan shared a similar video at Causeway Bay earlier on Sunday.
Major Surendra Poonia even shared the video through her twitter handle.
